Paint Pal is a streamlined, easy-to-use 3D model viewer designed for hand-painting textures on iPad or iPhone, enabling texture work on the go.
Features
- Import 3D models in FBX or OBJ formats directly from the device.
- Import PNGs and JPGs from the camera roll or from major painting apps such as Procreate.
- Save quick screenshots to the camera roll directly from the viewer.
- Four shaders: Toon with Outline, Toon, Unlit, and Unlit Cut Out.
Limitations
- The app is designed for viewing albedo/diffuse textures and does not provide a PBR workflow.
- Edits affect only the first material ID found in a model.
Known Issues
- Export operations from some applications may show an unsuccessful export message even when the export completes successfully; this messaging has no impact on the result.
